The Nepal Orthopaedic Association Journal (NOAJ), the official journal of the Nepal Orthopaedic Association (NOA), would like to congratulate Dr. Bibek Banskota for being appointed as Editor-in-chief by the newly elected executive committee of NOA for the term 2025-2027. After his appointment NOAJ is planning to expand the editorial team and is seeking qualified candidates for various editor positions. Thus, NOAJ invite applications for the following editorial roles:

  1. Managing Editor (Two)
  2. Editors (Few)
  3. Assistant Editors (Three)
  4. Statistician (One)

Key responsibilities:

  1. Managing Editor
  • Manage the submission process and editorial workflow. 
  • Communicate with editor-in-chief and editors. 
  • Assist in the production and publication of the journal.  
  1. Editors
  • Review and edit articles 
  • Ensure that content aligns with the scope of the journal.
  • Provide feedback to authors and guide submissions to appropriate reviewers.
  1. Assistant Editors
  • Communicate with managing editors
  • Assist in the construction of the articles
  • Manage the publication process
  1. Statistician
  • Evaluate the statistical methods used in submitted research papers. 
  • Ensure appropriate study design, data analysis, and interpretation of results.
  • Verify the accuracy and reliability of statistical findings.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines for data handling and reporting. 

Required Qualifications:

  1. Managing Editor
  • Permanent member of NOA
  • Have published more than 20 papers
  • Have prior experience of working as managing editor (preferred)
  1. Editors
  • Permanent member of NOA
  • Have published more than 5 papers 
  • Have prior experience of working as editor (preferred)
  1. Assistant Editor
  • Have Published more than 2 papers (preferred)
  • Have sound skill of PDF production and editing
  1. Statistician
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with strong knowledge of applied statistics in medical and orthopedic research, and proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS, STATA).
  • Prior experience in working with medical journals, peer review, or academic publishing. (preferred)
