Professional Indemnity Insurance

The Nepal Orthopaedic Association (NOA) is pleased to introduce the Professional Indemnity Insurance Scheme for its members. This initiative has been approved by the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the Executive Committee with the objective of providing financial protection to members facing medicolegal proceedings. Professional Indemnity Insurance (PI) protects businesses and professionals against legal liability arising from errors, omissions, negligence, or breach of professional duty while delivering professional services.

Member Contribution

Each eligible NOA member is requested to contribute: NPR 1,000 (One thousand only) per year.

The remaining premium amount will be subsidized by the Nepal Orthopaedic Association.

Insurance Coverage

• Coverage of up to NPR 3,000,000 (Thirty lakh) per claim, subject to the policy terms and conditions.
• In the event of a claim, the insured member is responsible for a 10% co-payment (deductible) as specified in the insurance policy.

Eligibility

1. Active members of the Nepal Orthopaedic Association
2. Completion of the required contribution
3. Submission of the online registration form with the payment proof

Important Information

1. Coverage is subject to the terms, conditions, exclusions, and limits of the insurance policy.
2. Members are encouraged to retain their payment receipt for future reference.
3. The insurance coverage becomes effective only after successful enrollment and confirmation by NOA and the insurance provider.
