President
It is a great honor to serve as President of the Nepal Orthopedic Association (NOA). I am sincerely grateful for the confidence and support of my colleagues and proud to represent a professional community dedicated to improving musculoskeletal health and patient care throughout Nepal. Orthopedic practice today is evolving rapidly, shaped by advances in science, technology, and surgical techniques. At the same time, our core responsibility remains unchanged—to provide ethical, compassionate, and patient-centered care. NOA is committed to strengthening.
Education and professional development are central to our mission. We place strong emphasis on supporting young and emerging orthopedic surgeons across all subspecialties, including trauma, arthroplasty, pediatric orthopedics, spine, sports injuries, and others. Through fellowships, skills workshops, cadaveric and simulation-based training, exchange programs, and continuing medical education activities, NOA strives to create meaningful learning opportunities. Our mentorship initiatives further connect junior surgeons with experienced colleagues, fostering guidance, collaboration, and lifelong learning.
NOA is also moving forward with the responsible adoption of modern technologies. The integration of digital platforms and artificial intelligence offers valuable opportunities in diagnostics, surgical planning, education, and research. These initiatives are pursued with a clear focus on patient safety, ethical practice, and data confidentiality.
Collaboration remains a key pillar of our work. We continue to strengthen partnerships with regional and international orthopedic organizations through joint academic programs, exchange opportunities, conferences, and research collaborations. Such engagement helps ensure that Nepalese orthopedics remains globally connected while contributing meaningfully to international knowledge and practice.
As President, I am committed to leading the association with integrity, transparency, and inclusiveness. My vision is to foster a supportive professional environment that values education, ethical practice, mutual respect, and service to the community.
Together, through unity and shared purpose, I am confident that the Nepal Orthopedic Association will continue to advance orthopedic excellence and serve the people of Nepal with dedication and pride.
